Background checks to suit any requirement

We can offer screening packages to cover any type and level of background check. What we do for you will always depend on what you need.

Some of the typical processes are listed below. You could also fill in a quotation form to let us know more about your particular requirements.

Entry-level screening

  • Basic telephone vetting
  • Verifying employment history for a period of three years
  • Confirming address(es) for the last three years
Low-risk screening

  • Verifying employment history for a period of five years (or since the applicant left full-time education if work history is less than five years)
  • Confirming address(es) for the last five years
  • Checking the electoral register
  • Checking court records for county court judgements, bankruptcy, sequestration orders and voluntary arrangements
  • Contacting the candidate to clear up inconsistencies, if necessary
Medium-risk screening

Medium-risk screening typically includes all processes involved in low-risk screening, plus the following:

  • A full personal interview and a thorough check of particulars
  • A comprehensive document inspection
  • Confirming education, including all records of schools and higher education from the age of 11 years
  • Verifying qualifications
  • Verifying employment history for a period of ten years (or since the applicant left full-time education if work history is less than ten years)
  • Confirming that self-employment was conducted and terminated satisfactorily, if appropriate
  • Considerations of secondary employment and extra-curricular activity
  • Confirming periods of residence abroad
  • Analysis matching the applicant to the job
High-risk screening

High-risk screening includes all processes involved in low and medium-risk screening, plus the following:

  • A detailed scrutiny of employment history since leaving school
  • A scrutiny of five references and following up at least three
  • Ensuring that any 'skeletons in the cupboard' are discovered to prevent the shareholders being unnerved at a later date
  • Considering whether directorships, share holdings, memberships, hobbies and other spare time interests are compatible
